Privacy Policy

English · Deutsch · Terms of Use

This Privacy Policy describes how Velmira (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Velmira mobile app (the “App”). Velmira is a wellness and self-reflection app with AI-powered journaling, affirmations, and companion chat. It is operated by ManifestAI.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you use the App, we create and maintain an account identifier through Firebase Authentication (Google). On first launch we may sign you in anonymously. If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifiers Apple provides (which may include your name and email address, depending on your Apple settings). We use this to link your data across devices and restore access.

Journal, reflections, and other content you create

The App is built around private journaling and reflection. Depending on how you use Velmira, we store content you create or save, such as:

This content is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase) under your account, and may also be cached locally on your device.

AI processing

To provide personalized affirmations, journal insights, companion replies, and related features, relevant text and context (such as recent journal themes, chat history, and profile preferences) may be sent to our backend Firebase Cloud Functions, which call a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) to generate responses. We do not use your content to train public AI models. AI outputs are generated for your use inside the App and are not a substitute for professional advice.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve the product. This may include events such as onboarding completion, paywall views, ritual starts, journal saves, companion messages sent, and subscription actions. Analytics data is generally aggregated or pseudonymous and is linked to an app instance or account identifier rather than your name.

Crash and diagnostic data

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs, stack traces, and basic device or app state information so we can fix stability issues.

Push notifications

If you enable reminders, we use OneSignal to deliver push notifications. OneSignal may receive your device push token, notification preferences, reminder schedule tags, and your Firebase user ID (as an external user ID) to route messages to the correct device. You can disable notifications in the App or in your device settings.

Purchases and subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) through our subscription partner Adapty. We receive subscription status and entitlement information (for example whether you have an active premium plan). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Automatically collected information

Our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, and general usage diagnostics needed to operate and secure the App.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

3. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the App, including with:

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business (with notice where required).

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete your data or account (see below), we delete or anonymize associated cloud content within a reasonable period, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.

5. Account and data deletion

You can delete your data at any time in the App: Profile → Delete my data. This permanently removes your journal entries, reflections, insights, affirmations, vision cards, companion memory, preferences, and related account data from our systems and from the device, where applicable. Deletion cannot be undone.

Deleting data does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via our Support page.

You can control push notifications in the App (Profile → Notifications) or in iOS Settings. You can limit analytics collection through your device settings where Apple provides controls (for example “App Analytics” on iOS).

7. Children

Velmira is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own (including the United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including access controls on cloud data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
